A little Halloween help
Our friend Jessicurl needed a little help with her flapper Halloween costume - a garter flask holder. I was able to whip this little pouch up to hold her mini-flask.

New craft space
Since we just got a new-to-us dining table, we decided to fashion our old one as a craft table in our music studio spare room. Now it can be called "the craft room". We have some wall shelves from Ikea to put up above the table (the guitars will move to another wall) for my craft accessories. Very official!
I whipped up this sewing machine cover last night to celebrate it's new home. The fabric was gifted through family - I adore it. I loosely used this tutorial, but mostly just improvised.
Sadly, I have a failed project sitting behind it. I had this idea for a scarf made of knit interlock with cotton edging and patches. I followed it all the way through, but in the end, it just doesn't look good. Oh well.

TnT
Our dear friends TnT are abandoning us (not that we're bitter or anything) and have another bun in the oven. They're moving to Texas, in the short term, so I thought a horse theme was in order. Who can resist horses that have names?
A bib with Big Star applique on brown flannel, soft white minky on the other side. I found the horse fabric at Fabric Temptations many months ago as a random fat quarter, I couldn't resist their names. I just discovered my machine can do that stitch - perfect for applique!

An organic onesie with Maverick.
A taggie blanket featuring Blanco and Rio. Here is the concept of taggies, and here is a tutorial I used as a guideline. I used ribbons I've been collecting from thrift stores, yard sales, opened gifts, fabric stores, etc. The back is super-soft white minky. Super crazy soft.
Bon voyage, dear friends! You will be missed.

A half hour well spent
Start to finish. That's it. Half an hour. From dryer to photo - I skipped the ironing.
I modeled this trick-or-treat bag for Sasha after a bag that Fabric Temptations gave me with one of my purchases months ago. I bought the fabric on sale at Joann's this weekend.

Hmm...what's this?

A trick-or-treat bag?

Let's see...

Any candy in here?

Where's my candy?!

Summer dress for Fall?

I couldn't help myself. I felt a pull to make Sasha a dress, so I grabbed a pattern I had (Simplicity 5695) and some fabric gifted through family, and voila! It may look summery, but it will work with tights and a long sleeved shirt. And it's orange. That's a Fall color. For the record.

Have I ever mentioned that I love pom poms?

Sasha, of course, hates it and didn't even want to try it on. I had to take these photos fast.
