Puppet theater

Come one, come all to the puppet show!

For Sasha's school, a puppet show theater. They saw one in a preschool supply catalog and asked if I could do something similar. Thanks to Amy Karol's Bend the Rules Sewing, yes, I can!

For the main blue fabric I used a sheet I got at a yard sale to save on hemming. The purple curtains are cotton from my stash, and the valances are an adorable hand-me-down fairy fabric.

A tension curtain rod holds it in any doorway, and two wooden dowels help it hold it's shape.
The bottom valance features four pockets so that the kids can also use it as a storefront. I'd like to buy some grapes and strawberries, please!

Knit twist hat: part two

After making this hat for dear friend Z in brown, his brother requested the same hat in charcoal gray with orange.  Love that!

Unfortunately, the brown Sugar n Cream cotton I used before does not come in a charcoal gray.  After some detective work, I found the very similar Peaches n Cream cotton in a charcoal gray and paired that with the Mission Falls 1824 cotton to make this work.  Same orange yarn, same pattern.

Baby doll diapers

For a dear one who turned two years old, diapers for her baby doll. So far, it sounds like they are a hit, with both diapers needed at all times because one is dirty and one is clean - of course!

Thanks to MarinaMaroo for letting me borrow her (superior) template for baby diapers. Much better than the one I freestyled for Sasha months ago.
