Butterfly Flyaway Jacket

Another item for baby-on-the-way!

Using the Flyaway Jacket pattern from One-Yard Wonders, which I won from Scottie Dog Quilts Creative Sewing Center, this was a super fast project.

I had this butterfly flannel fabric in my stash from JoAnn's remnant bin. Add a little pink bias tape and a button, and it's ready to go.

Binky taggie

Since Sasha has a hardcore addition to pacifiers, I've been trying to think of how to ease the rehabilitation of this addiction. When I realized part of her obsession is actually stroking them with her fingers in addition to the oral fixation, I came up with this idea to solve half the problem:

A binky taggie! Hopefully this will help ease the pain whenever the binky fairy comes. I actually cut off the tips of two pacifiers and hand sewed them into the taggie, because my sewing machine did not appreciate them at all.

Excuse it's wrinkled state, I had to snatch it out of her bed. She actually loves it!

14k Gold Baby

This baby likes gold.

I've never in my life liked the look of yellow gold on me - always silver, white gold, platinum. Suddenly, I had this strong desire for yellow gold earrings.

I went to Talisman in Old Town Eureka, bought the essential things I'd need, came home and whipped up these solid 14k gold earrings with glass and crystal beads.

I've been wearing them every day. I really wonder if I'll feel differently about these earrings once this baby is born!
